Life after a new baby...

So, Grant is 4 weeks old today. Obviously we are off to a rough start in keeping up this blog, but we are trying. Grant is growing fast. He was 9 lbs. 2 oz. at his 2 week check up, and I am sure he is pushing 10 or so now. He changes every day, and now looks like a cute little baby instead of a red, bruised little alien. The girls all love him and love to hold him, though they are more clingy and whiney than usual. Shaylee loves to hold him and feed him his bottle, and is a great help when I need her to get things for me. She is also trying to keep up with her kindergarten homework and reading. She loves school and enjoys practicing her spanish with us. Ellie also loves to have her turn to hold Grant and feed him, though she loses interrest after a few minutes. She prefers to play barbies or pretend most of the day. She does like to play piano also, and is getting better slowly but surely. Chloe loves to put Grant's binki or bottle in his mouth (whether he is awake or not) and buckles his carseat whenever he is not in it! She is so busy, it is hard to keep up with her. She likes to play pretend with Shaylee and Ellie, and surprisingly is pretty good at keeping up with the twists and turns in their plots and even comes up with her own suggestions! Jeff and I are just trying to keep up with kids, house, baby and life in general in less than the optimal amount of sleep, but thus far things are going as well as can be expected! At least we have no major illnesses! (I hope I didn't just jinx us!)

P.S. I was going to post more pictures, but the computer won't recognize the Camera's USB so I can't upload the pictures. Sorry, I guess you'll have to stay tuned...

Congrats! I just found your blog on Cecelia's. Good luck with the 4-kiddo juggle, I'm still learning how to keep up with 3! Can't wait to see and read more. :)

I can't wait to see baby Grant in 2.5 weeks! What a cutie! We'll be in on the 17th. We should plan something for that day!
